The Merge tool combines multiple files, tracks, or segments into a single unified route.
Getting Started
To use the Merge tool, first select multiple items:
- Multiple GPX files
- Multiple tracks within a file
- Multiple segments within a track
Merge Options
Connect the Traces
Use this option to create a single continuous trace from your selection. The endpoints of each trace will be connected in sequence, creating one unified route.
This is ideal when you have:
- A route split across multiple files that should be one continuous path
- Segments recorded separately that form a single journey
Merge as Separate Items
Use this option to combine items while maintaining their individual structure:
- Merging files → Creates a single file containing all tracks from the selected files
- Merging tracks → Creates a single track containing all segments from the selected tracks
This is useful when you want to:
- Combine related routes into a single file for easier management
- Group segments that represent different days or sections of a trip
The order of the merged items matches their selection order. Select items in the sequence you want them to appear in the final result.
