Preferences let you customize how Rendzo behaves when importing files and what’s visible on the map. Some preferences are per-device, while others sync across all your devices.

Devices

The devices section lists all devices registered to your account. Each device shows:
  • Device Name — click to rename
  • Last Synced — when the device last synced with the server
  • This Device badge on your current device
You can delete devices you no longer use.

View Preferences

These settings are device-specific and control what’s visible on the map:
  • Show Waypoints — toggle waypoint markers on the map
  • Show Media — toggle photo markers on the map
  • Distance Markers — toggle distance indicators along tracks
  • Direction Markers — toggle arrows showing travel direction

Reset Options

  • Reset Delete Confirmations — re-enables all “Don’t show again” confirmation dialogs you’ve previously dismissed
  • Reset Panel Sizes — returns the elevation panel, file tree panel, and anchor points panel to their default sizes

Import Preferences

These settings are synced across all your devices and control what happens when you import a GPX file.

Geocoding

  • Geocode Waypoints — automatically look up addresses for waypoints
  • Geocode Track Start and End Points — automatically look up addresses for route endpoints
  • Geocode Media — automatically look up addresses from photo EXIF location data

Elevation and Surface

  • Request Elevation Data on Import — automatically generate elevation profiles for imported tracks
  • Request Surface Data on Import — automatically detect surface types (paved, gravel, dirt, etc.)

Route Editing Mode

Controls how imported routes behave when you edit them:
  • Preserve route — keeps the full imported path intact; you can edit specific sections while the rest stays fixed
  • Allow re-routing — only locks the start and end points; lets you completely redraw the route between them
Geocoding, elevation, and surface data requests run in the background after import — you can keep working while they process.
