The following terms and conditions govern all use of the rendzo.com website and all content, services, and products available at or through the website, including the Rendzo application for trip planning, route editing, GPX file management, and related features (collectively, the “Website” or “Service”).

The Website is owned and operated by Rendo, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as Rendzo (”Rendzo,” ”we,” ”us,” or ”our”).

By accessing or using any part of the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Agreement”). If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions, you may not access or use the Website.


1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You agree not to use your account in a misleading, unlawful, or abusive manner and to notify Rendzo immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.


2. User Content

You may upload, create, post, or share routes, GPX files, trips, comments, or other materials (collectively, “Content”). You are solely responsible for your Content and any consequences resulting from it.

By submitting Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the Content;
  • The Content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable laws;
  • The Content does not contain malware, spam, or harmful material;
  • The Content does not include false or misleading route information that could reasonably endanger others.

You grant Rendzo a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license, including the right to sublicense, to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.


3. Route and Safety Disclaimer

Routes, trails, elevation data, and trip information available through the Website are user-generated or derived from third-party sources and may not be accurate, current, safe, or legally accessible.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying route safety, conditions, and legality;
  • Determining whether any activity is appropriate for your skill level;
  • Using appropriate safety equipment;
  • Complying with all applicable laws and land access rules.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis and will automatically renew unless canceled prior to renewal.

Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel at any time through your account settings, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.


5. Fair Use Policy

Unlimited features are intended for reasonable personal use related to trip planning and route management. Prohibited uses include:

  • Commercial resale or redistribution;
  • Use as a general-purpose file storage service;
  • Automated bulk uploads or scraping;
  • Account sharing beyond a single household.

Rendzo reserves the right to review, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy.


6. Third-Party Services

The Website integrates with third-party services, including but not limited to Mapbox, Mapillary, Auth0, and BRouter. Rendzo does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, which are governed by their respective terms and policies.


7. Intellectual Property

All Website content, software, trademarks, and branding are the exclusive property of Rendo, LLC or its licensors. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights in Rendzo intellectual property.


8. Open Source Software

The Service incorporates open source software. A list of components and licenses is available at /open-source. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable open source licenses.


9. DMCA Copyright Policy

Rendzo respects intellectual property rights. DMCA notices complying with 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) should be sent to:

10. Termination

Rendzo may suspend or terminate access to the Website at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.


11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE WEBSITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. RENDZO DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.


12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENDZO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY AMOUNTS EXCEEDING THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.


13. Assumption of Risk and Release

You acknowledge that outdoor and travel-related activities carry inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Rendzo from any claims arising from your use of the Service.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Exclusive jurisdiction lies in the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
